Refer to it often and use it to guide you in writing your term paper. Above all, it must be referenced carefully using APA style. Following are some guidelines to use in writing your paper. FIRST, you are expected to identify an appropriate topic that is firmly rooted in the subject matter for this course, and that your paper is written specifically for this course. When picking a topic, choose something you are interested in, or something that will help you out at work. Note: It is not OK to write a paper that is largely a case study of how you or your company handles some OB concept at work. This is a library research-based paper. If you want to reference your company, make it secondary to your review of the literature. SECOND, your term paper should have an introduction, a body with appropriate headings and sub-headings and a conclusion. Please include a table of contents, showing headings and sub-headings. The paper should be a minimum of 10 pages, double-spaced, measured after the author’s statement and before the bibliography. Use appropriate APA format for each section. THIRD, note that the paper requires a **minimum** of six sources for your paper; one may be your textbook, but do not use other textbooks among your six sources. Remember that whether you paraphrase (preferable) or quote (use sparingly), you must indicate the source of your data. Not referencing papers & quot;tightly & quot; is a frequent source of points reduction on the term papers, so please be very diligent on this. Please don’t just input what others have written. Tell us what you have learned and thought about while doing this research paper. FOURTH, arrange the written paper logically. Be sure that your topics and sub-topics follow logically and that you write transition sentences between the each part of your paper. Avoid all first person references like & quot;I & quot; or & quot;we. & quot; Keep it formal. FIFTH: Include the author’s statement after the table of contents and before the abstract. Here it is— “ I certify that this paper is original, was created by me only for this course and no parts that I have written have been used elsewhere by me.”.
