These papers should be written as articles for a serious journal. They should therefore be written with proper academic referencing, but can also use primary source material (such as original interviews). They should be pieces about journalism (or other media or textual or political representations) rather than pieces of journalism: they should, for example, focus on the reporting of an event rather than on the event itself.
