(THIS IS WHAT I CHOSE) • Rosemary Sullivan (you can choose any of her biographies of Elizabeth Smart, Gwendolyn MacEwan, or Margaret Atwood) Choose one of the biographies listed above and write approximately 4-5 pages (1000-1250 words) using “A Tool Kit: Twenty Strategies for Reading Life Narratives” (URL is in the email where the tool kit is found) as your guidelines. Remember, you do not have to cover all twenty strategies addressed in the Tool Kit (as not all of them may apply to your narrative), but rather use the categories provided by the authors Sidonie Smith and Julia Watson to ground your analysis. Note that it may be necessary to replace references to ‘autobiography’ with the word ‘biography/biographical’. Also remember that in the case of a biographical narrative, you will need to analyze two kinds of subjectivities as you will be dealing with the narrator and the narrative subject.
