Assignments 1) Individual: Final To fully appreciate your development as a writer, you need to analyze and reflect upon it. Your take-home final is a short self-evaluative essay about your experience as a writer this semester. a) Essay Requirements: i) You may invent your own title. ii) You will write an introduction and thesis statement, four or five body paragraphs, and a conclusion. iii) You should use clear transitions and topic sentences, and develop your points with specific, concrete details. iv) The goal for the take-home final is to demonstrate effective writing practices while reflecting on your growth as a writer. v) It must be completed and submitted to the instructor on the last day of class. b) Below you will find a list of body paragraph topics. You will need to arrange them in a logical order. Then you can come up with your intro and thesis, as well as a conclusion. i) What did you learn about your own writing processes this semester? ii) What strengths do you see in yourself as a writer? What skills do you know you still need to work on in English 102? iii) Which style of essay was the easiest to complete? Which was the hardest? Why? iv) How have you seen your writing skills develop over the past 8 weeks? c) Submit it to the instructor by the end of the week.
