This paper should examine how the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films were greatly successful not only on a financial basis, but on an entertainment and even an artistic basis as well. The paper should look at how there are various elements that added up to success of the movie, including the performance of Johnny Depp. It should(but does not have to) include that the fundamental reason that the franchise so was successful is that it managed to take a tried-and-true movie formula and do something comepletely new with it. The paper should have a clear and well-develpoed thesis, explain ideas clearly, and have strong references and support. Also, the paper must include a works cited page.
