I need to take some time to reflect on my decision to embark on this journey. Reasons behind your decision to be a learner at this time is that I need a degree to further advance in life once I serve my time with the Army. People are motivated to attend college for various reasons, what are the reasons for me? It may be to increase their knowledge, to learn a new skill, to prepare for a career, to make friends, etc. Why am I attending college? What do you hope to gain from the experience? My response so you can outline it: I want to attend college/APUS to get my BA in Middle Eastern sudies, which will be applied to my job as being a cultural advisor in the Army. It will make me professient and expert in my job. I am a cultural advisor and a translater because I am Native in Arabic speaking; I read write, speak the language and expert on the culture sine I grew up in the Middle East, but this degree will make me more professional in my job. Further I want to take this degree, and advance to being an attorney. I want to become an international attorney. This degree will help me to get to what I want. With accomplishing this goal, I will financially become stable and persue more dreams such traveling and helping people and applying my knowledge to helping others. This applies to my current job and to my future dream job "attorney" This degree will lead me to advance in my current job in the Army and further will be a key to reaching my goal in my life to attend law school. My goals during this times while attending AMU, is to be an A student to further help me get accepted at law school. The challenge and obstacles I currently face is, my work schedule doesn''t help me as I work at least 12 hours a day, plus a side job excercises. Additionally, going to the dessert field two weeks out of every month, with a rock sack, no internet, computer, lacking rest, being warm, shower or sleeping in bed, will not allow me to be do assignments on times, so once I come back from the two weeks training in the field, I have to to keep up late studying and catch up on my backed up assignments and exams. As me being already an expert, but without a degree, will help me to success in my major. My motive to get to law school draws me so hard to accoplish my studying at AMU and succeed to further accoplish my dream.
