Save your selected image to your desktop or disk. Print out the image. Take a few minutes to look at the photograph. Look away from the image, and write down everything you saw in the photograph using the attached Photograph Analysis Worksheet developed by the National Archives education staff as a guide. Now cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper into four parts. Place these four parts over the picture so that you can reveal one section of the photograph at a time, keeping the rest of the picture covered. Look closely at the area that is revealed and describe what you see in the photograph. After you have had an opportunity to view each section, uncover the whole photograph and describe how what you now see in the photograph has changed. Answer the following question: What does this photograph tell you about immigration at the turn of the century? After you have completed the analysis, upload the selected photograph and your written analyses (600-800 words)
