The purpose of this assignment is to analyze a specific instance of work-related conflict between nursing staff and identify personal responses to the conflict. Because most healthcare organizational changes involve conflict of some sort, it is important to be able to identify components of conflict and to develop a repertoire of strategies for dealing with it. 1.) The problem is described clearly, thoroughly and concisely 2.) Each of the stakeholders involved is depicted by role in the healthcare organization, rather than by name, and his/her perspective of the problem is identified 3.) Behaviors that indicated either lack of cooperation or support are illustrated 4.) Personal responses to the conflict (e.g., anger, avoidance, confusion) are acknowledged 5.) Impact the conflict on the work group or organization is described.
