In order to answer the questions effectively you will have to apply any of theories stated throughout Chapter 12 in this paper in your response to the Discussion Questions. When the theories and evidence comes from an outside source ( e.g., course textbook, research article, etc.) you must give credit in a references section and with properly formatted citations and quotations. Imagine that the case responses are arguments in a court of law—tell the story and back it up with factual specifics; leave out the details at your own risk. It helps to clearly explain the specific theories as a foundation for building the evidence and drawing conclusions in your case. This is not just about having the right answer; it is also about demonstrating your knowledge of all the relevant theories (including explanations for the ones you ruled out), and finding all the ways that various aspects of the case apply to the alternative theories and possible conclusions.
