You have two weeks (by the end of this module) to recommend a strategy and proposal presentation to County officials as to how your hospital will reorganize and provide care to the neighboring residents. The intent of the assignment (apart from the benefits of thinking big!), is to use the various MS Office Suite options to prepare your proposal. Please follow the outline of the power point presentation template: Recommending a Strategy ? Vision Statement-State the vision and long term direction Goal and Objective ? State the desired goal ? State the desired objective ? Use multiple points if necessary Today’s Situation ? Summary of the current situation ? Use brief bullets, discuss details verbally How Did We Get Here? ? Any relevant historical information ? Original assumptions that are no longer valid Available Options ? State the alternative strategies ? List advantages & disadvantages of each ? State cost of each option Recommendation ? Recommend one or more of the strategies ? Summarize the results if things go as proposed ? What to do next ? Identify action items Use the template wisely and make improvements as necessary. Add what is needed and change or drop whatever is not relevant to your needs. Please make assumptions and include additional information you clear and concisely convey your points. Be creative and imaginative. I would like to emphasize some points: Excel - Use a table, chart or graph (at least two), to show changes in projected costs or scheduling or hours etc. for the old and new periods. Imbed these graphs into the slide. Invent the data. Word - You can prepare text in Word (easier to process and edit), tobcopy and paste to PowerPoint. Don''t go into too much detail; keep the presentation targeted at the executive management level. Remember who your audience is!
