You are required to write a report of approximately 10,000 words in length. The subject of the report can be a specific area of your own choice but must be a management issue. Questions are : TASK 1 (a) Develop a business case for a new product, service or process built upon recent research (in terms of overall profitability) ? ( b) Review current theoretical debate that supports this business case? (c) Incorporate into this business case information on market competitivity and activity? Task 2 (a) Identify and cost all materials ,equipment, labour and other resources required for developing the product, service or process? (b) Identify and cost the training and development of staff required? (c) Identify sources of all resources required? Task 3 (a) Plan and agree the timescale for management and implementation of the project, service or process? (b) Plan and develop an appropriate marketing strategy for this implementation? (c) Develop appropriate measures to monitor and evaluate progress? Above questions needs to be specific with clear points to be understood .The Structure of the report should be as follows: (1) An introduction showing the context of the issue and stating clearly why the topic is of importance; (2) The Objectives of the report ; (3) A Literature review showing what is already known about the topic from secondary (published) sources ; (4) Any Sources of primary data which are available or that are to be collected; (5) Discussion of the topic which should contain critical analysis of all data collected. This section should compare practice with theory and identify where practice is the same of different from theory; (6) Conclusions and recommendations ; (7) References; (8) Appendices. Notes: 1) Produce an in-depth investigation of a magagement issue; 2) Contribute to the body of knowledge of management by undertaking a process of enquiry; 3) Show evidence of critical evaluation and synthesis of relevant philosophies, theories and models of management; 4) Use primary and/ or secondary data sources. 5) Use a standard business report structure. 6) Word process the report. 7) Use the harvard referencing system. You will be grad pass if all criteria identified in the assignment are met.
