The Task: • Briefly describe the industry and choose a reputed organisation in that industry. • You are required to gather information on that particular organisation within that industry/sector. Information is to be collected from a variety of sources. • You will then produce a single report that assesses the nature of an innovation within the organisation. • You are required to collect first hand data on the innovation by means of interviews, surveys or questionnaires from the organisation as to the various aspects of the management of the innovation process and how it could be improved. You may include employees, customers and researchers related to that innovation. Evidence of the data gathered should be provided. The Report: Your are required to audit how the innovation process has been managed, by considering all of the following points: a) Approach adopted b) The effective external linkages c) Evaluating the implementation mechanisms d) Determine how the innovation has improved the performance of the organisation e) Make recommendations outlining the practical steps necessary to improve the management of innovation within the organisation f) Outline how innovation might be managed in the future within the industry g) The raw data should be included as a part of the report in the appendix. h) References in the Harvard style, including personal communications to be included
