Assessment Guide Word Allowance: 3000 words (+/- 10%) 1.You need to define and analyse the term clinical leadership, providing evidence of skills you have gained up to the point of this module (see footnote). You will then assess/identify your own learning needs in relation to the skills required for clinical leadership. Utilising the NHS Qualities framework as a tool for assessing your current level of leadership ability you will identify two quality areas for development and attach one skill to each. You must use a range of evidence to support your discussions (20%) 2.In the process of identifying your learning needs you need to also provide a theory linked rationale for your two chosen skills. This rationale should also relate to such issues as professional responsibility, accountability of the registered mental health nurse and current mental health policy and legislation. (30%) 3.You need to then develop an ''action plan'' in which you identify how you intend to meet your learning needs within the practice placement area. This must be followed by a brief summary of the action plan outcomes. (15%) 4.As a contextual framework to your ''action plan'' you need to critically analyse the outcome of your action plan taking account of driving and restraining forces for its success. (35%) Footnote: The assignment is intended to demonstrate your on-going professional and management development therefore to support your reflections you need to include in the appendix of your assignment carefully selected evidence from your portfolio.
