I want to write about the experience of my biology study by myself. two years ago, on the summer of 2006, I attended a summer class for biology, not very long time. After summer class, I study for another three monthes, I took the SAT subject test on the january of 2007 and pass the test in a not bad score. Even though, it is not a full score, but through this study experience, I discovered a new me, find my confidence, and find a wonderful way to approach life. In the summer class of biology on 2006, very soon I was thrilled for learning everything what the teacher taught, from giantorganism to microrganism, from cell, tissue, organ to fish, worm and humanbeing, it is so fasinating. Everyday, I can not wait for the class. I wrote down every words my teacher said. I actively participated every activity in class, tried to do every experiment by myself, even I could not. Undermicroscope, I was deeply attacted by the tiny cell. To me, the natural world is like a mystery, each answer I got brought me new knowledge and more questions. The most interesting part is biotechnology or gene engineering. From little chips of chromosomes pair to unvisionable molecule DNA of the cell, biotechnology draged me to far far away to the sea of the natural mytighty world. even gene therapy maybe can be used to treat som e genetic disorders. Bacteria can become tiny factories that produce human proteins. I can not resist to learn more about it.Although, I have not decided what am I going to do in the future, but I am sure biotechnology can do benefit to our human bing. I want to learn more and want to take SAT biology subject test. On the first two or three weeks, I got overwhelmed with the materials I had to study. There are so many topics, from living organism to environment , from respiration to circulation, from control to coordination, from digestion to excretion, from gene to protein, where should I start? I asked myself."Should I quit study" Because I just learned some topics on summer school, some topics left and i have to learn it by myself. Even I stopped learning, it is still acceptable, because normaly, biology class needs a student to study a whole year. I talked to myself again and again. But finally, I made a decisionh that I want to give myself a challenge, want to test myself.. After through this small hesitation, I made a study plan in detail, and began study hard. Everyday, I study one or two hours after finish normal class and home work. Sometimes, I remembered clearly, I felt very exhausted, but nothing stopped me to finish my schedule. I wrote down many concepts in small stickers , then put them on my table and around my bed, which made me to remember them more easily. then three month later, I did several practice test, each time I got almost full score. Although, I did not get a very great score(not a bad score too) on the real test because I had a very serious common code on the test day, I still very much enjoyed the experience I went through. Not only I learned the knowledge of biology but also learned a lot about myself. This study experience is a reminder to me that I can truly accompish something if I want to in life as long as I have a sheer determination to make it happen. I think I also find evidence for Thomas Edison''s words'' Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration". I believe in it.
