your paper must include the following sections: i. introduction: • address your understanding of the situation and note any assumptions you have made as you conceived your recommendations. • describe how managing diversity of employees can be a competitive advantage specifically for dixon’s situation. ii. recommendations: • describe four (4) distinct, well thought-out, creative and supported recommendations to help dixon develop a new diversity program designed to improve inclusiveness of the organization to optimize the contributions of each employee. • the recommendations should clearly state what actions the organization should take. your recommendations are intended for dixon’s board of directors and must include in-text citations and a list of references so that these executives know your recommendations are grounded in research. • describe each recommendation in detail and explain why each recommendation is useful to dixon (i.e., backed up by at least one appropriate reference per recommendation from the list below). you should also discuss the positive and negative aspects of the solution. • use supporting articles to justify your recommendations, including at least two (2) from the list below. you must be able to provide evidence that your recommendations are supported by the literature. • be sure to integrate your sources with your suggestions. integration involves more than just a quote from a relevant source, and in fact you may not use any direct quotes in this assignment. you should discuss and paraphrase key points from the supporting articles and then discuss how those points relate to and support your recommendations. • recommendations should be realistic and cost effective but you do not need to include a budget. • provide a short sub-heading for each recommendation. iii. evaluation: • indicate how dixon should measure the impact and effectiveness of the recommendations you have made. what should change because of these recommendations and how will those changes be measured? be very specific in suggesting how this should be accomplished. iv. references: • you must include a reference page listing all the works you have cited in your report. each suggestion must be supported by at least one of the articles listed below. you must use at least two different articles. • this list should be in alphabetical order. • reference style: (mla) must be used consistently throughout the paper and in the reference section. formatting and tone: • remember that this is executives level and are very busy people. the tone of your report should be professional and appropriate; the people to whom you are writing are your clients and should be treated with respect. • use complete, grammatically correct sentences. avoid the use of “i”. • the entire report (excluding the references section and title page, if you include one) may not exceed five (6) pages double-spaced, times new roman 12 point font, 1 inch margins. e-reserves diversity articles: these articles focus on diversity and are appropriate for use with the diversity writing assignment. these articles are posted on e-reserves http://furbo.gmu.edu/oscrweb/index.html.
