My topic is the Origins of swear words. Focusing on curse words, slang, and the etiquette of different time periods. Discussing what was good and bad including verbal and non-verbal expression during those times. A major Focus on particularly the change and development of women through these three different time periods, the historical background of the times, and important women movements throughout these three different eras that affected a change in everyday words and slang words. This papers main focus is on three time periods they are the Victorian Era (etiquette, use of fans, art, beginning of women rights suffrage etc), The Roaring Twenties 1920’s (booze, jazz, flappers, parties, womens freedom ), 1970’s (peace, hippies, womens rights), and include a glimpse at the end leading all these to the 21st century; today how we still use curse words from these time periods and how they have changed. I would like you to discuss briefly about each one of these time periods and how they differ from each other----. For instance women in Victorian age were ment to be proper, then 1920’s women changed dramatically flappers booze etc., 1970’s women now voting have more freedoms then ever. Very importantly I will also need an Abstract for this paper as well as an annotated bibliography in Chicago format. This entire paper should be in Chicago style format and in the annotated bibliography it will be in Chicago format as well. Atleast 11 sources all together MUST HAVE Three scholarly monographs, Three scholarly articles NOT originally published online, and Five primary sources from those time periods such as a diary, journal, newspaper etc. And 3 other sources writers choice. In addition when writing the annotated bibliography with chicago format, make sure to have when annotating the sources used in the paper & #216; A one sentence statement on what the source is about (preferably its thesis). & #216; A one sentence statement on who the author(s) is/are (their credentials, institutional affiliations, etc.) & #216; A brief description of the evidence the author discusses. A brief evaluation on just how the source is relevant to your topic (Does it support your claim? Do you argue with the author’s claim?).
