You MUST include examples from the text/texts with accurate in-text (parenthetical) citations. 6. You must include an accurately formatted Work Cited page. Don''t forget to include the primary sources in this page. There are many ways you can do this paper. Since mythology pertains to many disciplines, you can write this paper from any perspective--sociological, psychology, historical, literary, etc. The following are some sample topics: Literature: * A comparative study of the two texts from the perspective of one of the course themes * A comparative study between a visual art form and one of the texts. (Please attach an image of the piece you employ) Anthropology * A cultural/political/societal study of a culture and how it evolved as a result of the myths contained in the texts * Myths, such as the story of the Trojan War, & Mahabharata which "everyone knew," provided a stock of common reference points against which the Greeks could map their everyday experiences, frame moral questions, and so on. Does modern American culture have any similar set of common reference points? (You can employ the context of all four themes for this question) Sociology * A sociological study of modern woman and the women of these ancient texts. * Our ideas of honor & glory as compared to those of the texts.
