Philosophical and theoretical understanding of ideologies. b. Impact of ideologies upon welfare provision. c. The political economy - push pull factors. d. The socio-economic environment (paying for welfare). 2. Social inclusion: a. Class, underclass, inclusion/exclusion. b. Globalisation (immigration and asylum). c. Citizenship and rights and responsibilities. d. Power and resistance. e. Nationalisation - nested nations. 3. The modernisation agenda: a. Interprofessional education and interprofessional working. b. Public Health. c. Empowerment (informal carers and the expert patient). 4. Comparative social policy. 5. Complexity theory 6. Theory/practice links - managing change. Need to understand how & quot;Payment by Results & quot; has effective secondary Care delivery within acute setting only. Specification: A critical review of literature which identifies and analyses the impact of Payment by Results on a NHS Foundation Trust, the health and social care workforce, and on the patient / client group.
