I am very interested in how sound is heard and percieved and plan on investigating characterization of deficits of pitch perception underlying tone deafness or Amusia. I hope to discover all about the hearing mechanism and what happens when sound frequency reaches the ear. I also would like to investigate how the ear distinguishes different vowel sounds and get a better understanding of vocal formants. This topic overview should be 4 pages double spaced and should consist of a summary of the topic, and an assessment of what areas of the topic remain to be explored by researches.
