One format is to create a section for each of your answers. You may provide a structure that includes the following three points. 1. Name and define the term or concept, 2. State why it is important to philosophy, and finally, 3. Why it is important for us today. Each answer must be identified with a header or section title and be at least ½ single-spaced page in length with any references to the text and other sources identified as footnotes or as endnotes or in a proper documentation style at the end of this short paper. This assignment should not be more than 5 pages in length because this is an assignment, not a final paper. So, it is important to use word economy. Do not simply copy complete paragraphs or sections from the text or other source as the answer. I want to read how you’ve come to understand the material. 1) What is philosophy as a formal discipline and how does it compare to other formal disciplines. 2) What does the definition (philosophy = the search for wisdom) mean? How does one philosophize? Include the difference between person opinion and public forum in your answer. 3) What is Logic and what is the role of Logic in philosophy? 4) Why is the topic, Origin of the Universe, important to philosophy and what conclusions does philosophy provide? 5) How does philosophy address the issue of God and the problem of evil? What conclusions are provided by philosophy?
