Objectives of the Study: 1) To critically analyse the literature on the role of emergency care practitioners. 2) To explore the nature of emergency care practitioners interventions and roles. 3) To critically evaluate the evidence related to the service provided by emergency care practitioners. 4) To elaborate and provide new perspectives on the extended level of nursing practice in regard to patient treatment and management in Accident and emergency department. 5) To make recommendations for future development of the emergency care practitioner.
