Write an essay that presents your arguments in favor of the authors and works you will advocate for as being the most essential to the study and understanding of U.S Latino literature. How do you define U.S Latino literature? In your view, which authors and works have made the most significant contribution to the body of works known as U.S Latino literature. For what reasons? As you compose your answer to the above question take into account the following: -Ethnicity(Mexican American, Puerto Rican, Cuban American, Dominican, other) -Genre(fiction, poetry, drama, autobiography, memoirs) -recurring themes A list of authors that we took readings from include: Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales, Luis valdez, Jose Marti, Pachin Marin, Americo Paredes, Eusebio Chacon, Maria Amparo Ruiz de Burton, Jose Antonio Villarreal, Luis Rodriguez, Junot Diaz, Pedro Pietri and more... Please include some of these in the paper. Important!!!---This paper must contain an organized argument that includes a MINIMUM of SEVEN different U.S Latino authors; more may be included. Please include atleast some of the authors above. Jose Antonio Villarreal and Luis Valdez are two that I think are essential and should be included in the seven. The other 5 authors can be your choice as long as they are U.S Latino authors. At least one author from each of the three largest ethnicities(Mexican American, Puerto Rican, Cuban American) others may also be included.
