Assignment Description Chose a controversial topic related to a specific health issue which is particularly relevant to children’s health and well-being. Utilize a minimum of ten internet resources and/or organizations; scholarly articles or journals with comprehensive information on the varied health stances of this topic. Your resources should be current, Canadian and from a professional source. You may use resources used in class and/or on our Blackboard site. All references must be cited using an APA format. Please include the following in your research paper: Part 1 Summarize your research findings on your topic including issues that are contentious and/or controversial. Part 2 Discuss the implication of your research and the relationship to children’s health. Ensure both sides of the health issue are clearly synthesized. Part 3 Analyze how researching this topic has changed your thinking or added to your understanding of your role as an Early Childhood Educator. Illustrate how you would apply this research to an environment for children? Part 4 Evaluate and contrast specific recommendations, practices, routines and education that might be required to support children’s well-being using arguments from both perspectives Due Date: Friday November 7th All papers are due in class. If an extension is required please request one via email (louise.jupp@senecac.on.ca) no later than the day before the assignment is due. Late papers are penalized by 10% the first day and 10% each week they are late beyond the due date. There is no late penalty when an extension has been requested.
