No collaboration is allowed. The assignment is to be undertaken in the following way: • Choose a research topic. • Provide an overview of the recent literature on your chosen topic. • Having reviewed the literature, identify a new angle from which to explore the topic. Formulate a question/hypothesis and locate it within a context of previous studies. You should demonstrate that you have taken into consideration the relevant background literature. • Select and justify the method or methods of investigation that you are proposing to use to investigate the question/hypothesis. • Produce a research proposal. This should be word processed and double-spaced. Your research proposal should be no more than 1500 words in length, excluding the references. Overall, your proposal should demonstrate a clear link between your research question/hypothesis; your chosen theoretical perspective; the methodology and techniques adopted; the type of data you intend to collect and the data analysis techniques to be used.
