1) A Detailed Sentence Outline-- where you use sentences, not just single words or phrases, in the parts. My interest in the Outline is primarily to see if you could design logical and coherent steps that emanate from and support a central point (thesis), all in sentence form. 2) Write a 6 page paper using the outline you prepared. The purpose of your paper needs to be taken into consideration. You need to decide on the Argumentation-Persuasion pattern of development. Most of you are perhaps used to writing topic outlines (when words or phrase are used for headings). Instead, I would like you to use a sentence outline. In this case, all the headings are constructed using sentences. This method is very useful because you could use those same sentences in the body of your essay as topic sentences.
