1. Include the enthymeme as the first sentence in your essay. 2. Include at least three paragraphs dealing with three different counter-arguments. 3. Be sure to include rebuttals to each of your counter-arguments. 4. Be sure to reference the article you are working from. You do not need to make the article the central aspect of your paper but you should respond to it. 5. Pay special attention to your grammar and spelling. Your English grammar and spelling should be rounding into shape and it will play a bigger role in the assessment of your final exam (Essay 3.3) than it has previously. 6. Be sure that in each paragraph and in the conclusion you are still arguing on the same topic and from the same position as your opening line. 7. Don\''t be afraid to change your position, and thus your enthymeme, if you find yourself having a different opinion from when you started. 8. Remember, this is argument as inquiry. Starting the writing process with one position and ending with another is a good thing. You will just need to go back and adjust your essay to reflect this new position from beginning to end.
