The questions would include any issues related to no-traditional adult learner i.e., reasons or barriers for returning to school. See below for possible question areas. Include open-ended questions at the end of your interview questions such as: "Is there anything in the interview that you would like to cover that we have not discussed?" Then conduct an interview one of the non-traditional adult learner with the questions you prepared for. Write an interpretative report of the findings. Prior to your interview you should prepare the interview questions (about 10-15 questions). The possible questions to cover in your interview: • background, educational preparation or educational goals • job status/marital status • major responsibilities / activities • major challenges associated with the learning • greatest pleasure associated with the learning • advice to anyone considering the learning • others Expectations Your written paper should include the following: 1. Introduction: The Interview Protocol - a brief description of context and the focus (subject) of the interview (who did you interview and why did you choose this person? What were you interested in learning?) 2. Body: the interview findings with the responses of the Interview questions. It should summarize what you discovered from your interview experience while relating that information to literature from class readings or your independent reading where possible. You may present a separate list of the interview questions at the end of the paper. 3. A brief overview of what you learned from the interview experience. 4. General format / mechanics • Approximately 3-4 pages in length including a reference list if you used; • Organized in a clear and coherent manner; • Double spaced with font size of 12.
