Essays should be typed, double-spaced on a single side only of A4 paper using a 12 point font size and fixed with a single staple in the top left-hand corner. The essay should be accompanied by a coversheet with the title of your essay, your name and 9 digit student number and a word count plus your seminar leader’s name. Word limits will be strictly enforced students may be asked to produce disks in case of doubt about the length of the work or if plagiarism is suspected. There is a 10% leeway in the word count but everything in the work including footnotes, enters the word count except the bibliography. The word limit is 2000 words. Essays should include a bibliography of cited works listing the author''s name, the title of the work, the date and place of its publication. Footnotes can be used at the student''s discretion. Please note that poor, incomplete or inconsistent referencing will loose marks, and that plagiarism is a serious violation of University regulations. Resources should be from books please don’t use any website.
