Pass/ fail standards The following grades apply to all assignments: • A fail (FL) assignment has too many significant faults to be regarded as a University standard piece of work. Check your feedback sheet carefully to see where your main problems lie and if necessary seek clarification from your lecturer. • A pass (PS) assignment is adequate but still has significant faults and your are advised to make sure that you understand what they are and if necessary get help to improve in your weakest areas. You may particularly have to develop the ability to write critically and analytically rather than just descriptively. • A credit (CR) assignment is without serious faults but without conviction.
