The paper’s main focus is “Retention.” Many police departments across the United States are facing retention issues within their departments. Some of the main reasons for this issues are due to low pay, not getting 20 year retirement, no take home vehicle, work schedule, etc. The paper should address the retention issues and the reasons they are losing people, as well as, how a police chief can resolve these issues and what kind of things can he do to retain his police force, such as offer a retention bonus, get approval for more funding, etc. The paper needs to have an abstract page and have at least four resources citied on a reference page.
