It should now be highlighted -Under Ethnicity/Race/Place of Birth click on “total white persons” -Now scroll to the bottom and click on “Submit Query”. This will give you some basic data to build on. It shows the comparative populations of all the states. There are several ways you can look at this information. -You can simply scan the raw data -You’ll note that the top of each column there’s a tab where you can map the information. This puts the information into a visual snapshot -You can also view these characteristics as percentages. At the bottom of the results page you’ll note that you can “create proportions”. Select “total population” as the denominator and “total white persons” as the numerator. When you hit “submit query you’ll note there’s a new column which now tells you what percentage of the total population for each state is white. -Do the same thing for the following population categories -Aggr.
