The program is looking for people with analytical thinking skills, quantitative tools, and who are good with spreadsheets and statistics, so these are things that should be worked into the personal statement. I want to be in this program because of my strong connection to IU''s Kelley School of Business. I come from an Indiana background, growing up working 14 hour days on our family farm in LaPorte, IN. I continued to work my way through college by leading two new student groups, one a TV station called IUSTV where I completely revitalized their Business department, and the other Kelley Marketing X, a group designed to bring professors and students together to enhance creativity by working on new projects together. I''m also passionate about environmentalism (I worked with Kelley Earth Day in college and now work for Kimberly-Clark, which was ranked #1 among personal products companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes. Starting in December I will be the youngest person at Kimberly-Clark to be in charge of a multi-million dollar account for the company which, coupled with the other information, should show that I am a fast learner, hard working multi-tasker, with a desire to learn and a great opportunity to climb quickly at my company. One of my letters of recommendation is from a Vice President with the company who is an IU Alumnus. This essay should work to & quot;sell & quot; the Kelley Direct MBA program on my ability to bring something unique to the table, my ability to keep up with the workload and with the older students, and my personal story.
