The purpose of this assignment is to express statistics in a creative way. What does statistics in general or a specific statistic mean to you? What is the most erroneous perception of statistics by ordinary people? What is the best way to explain or present statistics to non statisticians? Why or how is statistics valuable to our everyday life? After taking this course, what has changed in your perception of statistics, their application to real life, and their relationship to research? In an attempt to answer a question like this, you may provide a creative output that expresses statistics in general, a statistical concept (levels of measurement, standard deviation, normal distribution, etc.), a statistical method (difference of means test, crosstabulation, regression, etc.), and/or the statistics profession. You may pick just one statistics question or issue and express it in the form of a drawing, painting, craft, video clip, poem, or any other creative product. You should try to be as creative and bold as possible in completing this assignment because your thoughtful contemplation and efforts will be valued as much as the final product. Creativity/fun, efforts, and relevance will be the three grading criteria for this project.
