From a Christian standpoint reflect on the divine moments in your life, detailing the events that define who you are, where you are going and why. Make note of significant scriptures and experiences which have led you to the sense of destiny that you have. Address very much in detail your initial call to ministry, writing it out and sharing your initial response. Develop your own personal vision, values and mission statements. Clearly indicate what aspects of your call are yet to be fulfilled, noting the specifics and the prerequisites (or conditional aspects). So let me give you some details of my life I was saved at age 7 in a baptist church in El Reno, Ok. I received the Holy Spirit when I was 9. The Holy Spirit helped divine my understanding of where I needed to go and do. I knew when I was praying in the backseat my parents car when God told me I was going to be the ministry and serve Him for the rest of my life. I never doubted from that moment on that I was & quot;called & quot;. Growing up in bivocational pastors house helped develop a strong foundation in Christ. My father helped have a servants heart. I was constantly cleaning the church and helping people do things that no body else would do. We use to feed the homeless and minister to them. We did as Jesus did take care the physical and then help the spiritual of a man. God revealed Himself to me when I was traveling to Arizona and He told me to pull over on the side of the road out in the desert in New Mexico. He told specially where I was going to be in 5 years. I knew right then that I was called into Chaplaincy. I was searching during that time frame looking for answers from and God and He answered my prayers. I want to be a military chaplain. I want to share my life experiences with them since I have been through some of the things they have. It says to put on the full armor of God and plan to do that physically as well as spiritually. This is my ministry beliefs. The way I do ministry always begins with God. As pastors we must preach about the creation to set the foundation of who God is and how the world was created. We must remember it does not begin with us but with God. Everything begins with God. God is the sole authority and foundation for everyday living. Too often we get caught up in the views of the world and forget to concentrate on what God wants. We must be submissive to the Spirit of God. We must be obedient to what the Lord wants us to do. Too often we think too much with our minds and we talk ourselves out of the way of the Lord. We must be guided by our Spirit so that we can speak from the heart of God. Ministry and its tasks do not flow from us but from the God who is already active in the world to bring His Kingdom to pass. Ministry to the world first begins with God’s act of creation (Allen Unit 1). Willimon indicates the priority of God for us a beginning in baptism. Ministry begins with God not with us. Even if we affirm believer’s baptism, the Gospel points us to the priority of God’s actions for us. Ministry, while including us, begins with God’s priority as God works to reconcile humanity to Himself (Allen Unit 1). Service, self-giving love, is God’s idea before it is ours. Ministry is one aspect of God’s determination to have a human family, then to maintain that family into eternity (Willimon 12). I have to as pastor be willing to give up myself and serve the congregation. I might battle with my flesh because I might want to do something else but go help someone out. See too often ministers get caught up in certain images that cloud their abilities to help people. They allow constraints to rule their lives. I have taken leadership classes to help me not have these constraints in my life. I have to recognize those constraints and work around them. See my focus should be Christ as the head and other things to the side. I must remember that God wants me to have a family but I must not sacrifice to where I lose my family. If I am doing God’s will I will be able to have time with my family. See it is not the amount of time I spend with my family it is the quality of time I have with that lasts and makes a difference. I have to preach salvation and creation in order to deliver the message of Christ. Too often we sacrifice the message of Christ and try to give the people what they want to hear. We are not here to satisfy man but to be obedient to the Lord. We must be obedient so that we can receive Gods fullness and grace. God will be here to the end of time he is the beginning and the end and no man cometh to the Father except through Christ Jesus. So if God is the beginning and the end everything begins with God. It is that simple.
