: Full scale research proposal (2,500 words – 50%) Each student must provide a 2,500 word report containing appendices and references not subject to word count. The references should follow the requirements set in the following page. There must be appendices containing: i) The finalised questionnaire/interview schedule and protocols of any other instruments. The commissionaire should be able to see from this appendix the questions you will be asking the participants. ii) The researcher’s CV indicating the student’s suitability to the proposed research. The commissionaire should be able to see from this appendix if you are suited to the proposed research. iii) A Gantt chart indicating the timetable of the proposed research. The commissionaire should be able to see from this appendix the timing of your various activities. There is a 10 week/400 hours constraint for the completion of the proposed research. iv) A contents page of the report that will be written on the basis of the proposed research indicating chapters and subsection headings with indicative size and content. The commissionaire should be able to see from this appendix the structure and content of your final report be it an independent study or a dissertation. v) detailed budget plan (it is good practice to develop your research strategy in terms of the same set of activities that you will list in your Gantt chart and budget). The commissionaire should be able to see from this appendix the detailed costs of your activities as well as the total costs. There is a £1,000 constraint for non-labour costs. vi) Piloting results of test data. The commissionaire should be able to see any crucial forms of data analysis you are likely to perform and the type of findings you are likely to produce on the basis of test-data. Obviously materials from assessment 1 and in particular the diary entries can be utilised throughout this assessment. Further appendices could be included according to need, e.g. confidentiality agreements. The report however must include the following sections: 0) Cover (not subject to word count). A single page with the title of the proposed research and the particulars of your commission (e.g. name of client if appropriate).
