Here are the specifications of the paper. I am looking for the paper to be a title page, an executive summary, 6 pages of body and a reference page. The paper must be written in paragraph style APA format with multiple paragraphs to include transitions. All components of the double spaced paper must have one inch margins (left, right, top and bottom) and be written in 11 or 12 pitch, Arial or Times New Roman font. No spaces between paragraphs. No lists are permitted in the paper. Diagrams can be included but this content does not count towards the length of the paper. Below the specifications is an outline that I turned in for the paper. Section I -- One page Executive Summary Section II –Body (six page response to the questions below) What is the organization structure? Describe the organizational structure from senior management to the first level IS user. What parts of the organization are served by the IS? What are the inputs and outputs regarding the IS? (If there are no automated inputs or outputs, please state this in the narrative of your term paper.) Include both manual and automated IS inputs and outputs. How does the organization use the IS? How does the organization use the IS inputs and outputs to accomplish operational objectives? How does the IS impact operations within the organization? How does utilizing the IS positively or negatively impact the organization? What are the key HW and SW components of your IS? Describe both HW and SW from client and server perspectives, if applicable. Are there any changes you would recommend to the systems analysts or designers? Describe at least two improvements to the IS. Detail the current capability, the improved capability, and the metric to measure the effectiveness of the new capability (i.e. three times faster, 50% cheaper, 70% more efficient). Section III – Reference page Provide at least five from sources other than the required readings. Only ten percent of the paper can be properly cited quotes. OUTLINE 1) Executive Summary on Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application(AHLTA) a) This paper will go over the advantages and disadvantages of AHLTA, the Necessity of the system, It will review the Hardware/ Software requirements, b) How it is used and the impact it has made on the military health care system, who it affects and areas of improvements that can be made. 2) Organizational Structure a) Who is affected by AHLTA use in the military? Every member of the armed forces and their beneficiaries. It establishes continuity of care and affects treatment options to name just a two. b) Effects if AHLTA is down when a patient comes into the clinic for treatment unknown allergies, past treatments of conditions, underlined diagnosis,lengthens appointments, a greater risk of complications in treatment. 3) Inputs and Outputs a) AHLTA inputs: appointment times, mediations, allergies, diagnosed medical conditions, treatments/ procedures at time of visits. Inputs are put into the system manually. b) The output is a complete comprehensive medical record to better service our military community. To form a complete picture of a person’s health ,It doesn’t track trends or establish hypothesis on its own. 4) Organizational Usage a) The use of AHLTA in the military community across the branches of service and regardless of the patient’s location. b) Operational objectives - up to date real time records, - moved in paperless direction with civilian health care providing agencies 5) IS Organizational Impact a) The positive impact of the system to the military: keeps more accurate records, records are now available to all providers if they are deployed, stateside, or stationed overseas. updated in real time for accuracy. b) The negative impact the time it takes to document in AHLTA, t lessens the number of patients a provider can see cutting access availability. 6) Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) a) Research the HW and SW components of AHLTA b) From server perspective - wonderful alternative to paper records -it is a good program but not as user friendly as they would like. 7) Recommended Improvements a) There are improvements that can be made in any system, this one would benefit from: speeding up the connectivity, b) With added improvements to connectivity time, combining information for coding purposes I would like to see it 2x faster thus allowing providers to see the same number of patients that were seen before the system was introduced if not more.
