The aim of this project is to investigate the air quality in the Greater Manchester area in order to assess the level of pollution and the trends pattern seen in the area in order to determine if there are improvements, and whether or not those improvements of a sufficient level. Overview: Road transport is one of the main sources of air pollution. Air pollutants emitted by road vehicles will contribute both to poor local air quality in Manchester region and also to regional part of the UK. Pollution from traffic is greatest at roadsides where traffic flows are high. Traffic congestion can lead to a build up of air pollution particularly when the air is very still and the pollutants are not dispersed by the wind. Some example of pollutants displayed on air quality from road transport are Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Ozone, particulate, Sulphur Dioxide etc. Task- Chapter 1 methodology: provide a clear description of the methodology and conduct of survey. Give reason for the choice of a particular approach or methodology in order to investigate environmental Impacts of Road Transport on Air Quality in the Greater Manchester Area. Task-Chapter 2 result and analysis: you should present results and carry out analysis about air quality in Manchester area. You should also present results and tables , with explanations. Make suggestions offer critisms. You should also assess the level of pollution caused by road traffic in the Greater Manchester, comparing different regions within the Greater Manchester area and areas outside of the study location. Task-Chapter 3 evaluation and discussions: in this chapter you should carry out evaluation of the results by analysis of your findings about the environmental Impacts of Road Transport on Air Quality in the Greater Manchester Area UK. Used effective illustration/ figure and table to emphasis points. Compare and contrast your results with other studies or city. Task-Chapter 4 conclusion: To suggest and explore possible solution to minimize the air pollution due to road transport in the Great Manchester area.
