Prepare a Research Proposal for a topic of your choice. The proposal should justify its approach technically and it’s budget financially. The method and approach part should be reasonably sound without extensive elaboration (logical ideas). You are free to consult the lecturer and seek his advice and help on the proposed topic and methodology. This proposed project may be on any reasonable topic of interest, and need not be related to the student’s actual final project. Deliverables A Research Project Proposal document for a research topic of your choice. The proposal should contain the following sections: • Abstract • Introduction • Literature review • Approach and methods • Work plan and tasks • Funding and budget (include any external organization you may consider) • Project impact, Project limitations and ethical considerations • References The proposal should be between 2500 and 3000 words in length Criteria that will be used in assessing the proposals include: • Convincing problem statement and project motivation. • Awareness of other approaches. • Logical structure of project plan. • Justification of the objectives and approach. • Clarity of writing. • Range of reference source material and its quality. .
