a 2:2 standard 3000 word assignment. can be devided into 1- Analyse the learning teaching approach of a set of materials( writing activities) 1000 or less 2-evaluate its suitability within aparticular context(1000 or less) design supplementary activities( provided in an appendix) and explain their rationale (1000 words or less) The activities intended for analysis(2 or 3 activities) are to be taken from the Headway course book for intermediate students. first the approach of the book as a whole will be discussed and second the writing activities to be analysed. the writing approach of the book is a product approach. We try to introduce the process approach to the writing activities too make it more communicative, as the process approach takes the learner more into consideration.
