I am wirting my thesis, about chaninging people perspective, using design “Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................Don’t kill him, you need him!” The majority of humans dislike flies and one brave soul, armed only with creativity, has gone on the journey to glorify the greatness of the common fly. For the last 50 years Mortein has been extremely successful advertising their products using Louie, an imaginary cartoon of a fly, Louie has been represent as a useless and annoying creature that needs to be gotten rid of. A new counter character name Bluie has been created to increase the awareness of the public about all the advantages that flies offer using humour inspired by the detective genre. Bluie, a true Australian in every way etc. – benefits, how he can change people perception. etc. BACKGROUND REPORT Today marketing and advertising got great influence on people. According to……… There for I decided to create my final project to show my skills. I have my first degree with in Bachelor of communication advertising creative, and so I thought it will be great to use the skills I learnt so far in this project,. SO I decided I want to change people’s perspective. I have been thinking to my self that choosing a product that people know and like it wont be such a big challenge for as I like to have challenges I find it more interesting and motivating to work on . So I was looking for something that as far as I see it the majority of people don’t really like and find annoying , THE COMMON FLY. Majority of people don’t like fly and don’t find them so useful. I decided I will find there are some good aspects with in the existing of the common fly in this world For my small life experience I learnt that in ever negative there is a positive aspects, Just remember to always look at the half full of the glass (good idea for cover page for my project a glass that half full with a fly inside it ?) Flies!!!! How many kinds of flies are excite in the world. What do they do? Did people already take fly for creative concept? What people think about the common housefly? Finding the benefits of the fly To change people perspective I must first find what do people think of the fly, Than find out what are the benefits of the fly ad than point out the good things of the fly to my target audience, I will also have to find out who are my target market, And how to I want to send my massage across, Can be during advertising campaign, under advertising I can have print ad, TV ad , radio ad, I can do ambient , By researching what method I will be using to get the most effective was to pass my massage across it all must include by researching cost, time.. my abilities. Ect. ok, after researching about the fly ,by reading lots of books websites talking to all people I know, ( I believe people all ways can give you information, sometimes you wont be using it, some times ot ay change my mind. ) Gavin my x lecture, who got lots of knowledge is like a walking book , introduce me to Louie the fly , I feel in love !!! not at Louie but at the idea that some one created a character who stay for so long at the market I think Louie mad great impact on the Australian market he is been around longer than 50 years and that’s an achivnet . in a way it all came together . Louie is the bad guy , I want to create is brother Blouie the GOOd Guy !!! According to my research fly can help you !!!
