Research Question: What are the common methods to attach and breech an Internet proxy server and the techniques by which it can be made impervious to such attacks? Research Objectives: In order to answer the above research question, these research objectives must be met. • Identify the various architectures used to establish a corporate Internet site • Identify the preferred architecture used to establish a corporate Internet site • Assess the security vulnerabilities of each of the preferred architectures used for corporate Internet sites • Determine candidate techniques for mitigating the security risks to each of these preferred architectures • Assess each mitigating technique to determine its cost / benefit ratio • Test the various candidate techniques for effectiveness • Identify the preferred techniques to secure a corporate Internet site
