1. Name and define the issue. 2. State why it is important for society today, not just why it might be personally important. 3. Explore the issue and its chief points and challenges. Be sure to answer the question, "Why is this issue important?" 4. Apply our study of philosophy to it or link our topics in a meaningful fashion to the issue. Finally, 5. State how you think philosophy provides an answer. This is not just your personal thought but your thoughts as they are informed by our study this Term. This is the concluding section of the paper and will be shared with the class in Week 8. Introduction This introduction should contain an overview of the topic that you’ve selected and its relevance (and importance). This should be the target for your conclusion in which you propose a solution(s) or course(s) of action. The topics (chapter headings) of this course should be included throughout the paper and citations to the text and class discussion and lectures is required as well as citations from other sources. Paper format Title Page (see example that follows) Summary – (this is the only page that is single-spaced and includes: Statement of the topic, relevance or importance of the key issues of this paper to orgs today.) Body (is double-spaced and is the minimum seven pages in length and has the following: Research on the topic from credible sources, including the text and my files Your conclusion(s) (What you’ve learned from this paper and the course in light of the course’s learning objectives and the important topics posted in week one.)
