BELOW ARE THE POINTS WHICH NEEDS TO BE FOCUSED ON: 1. Focus on hypothesis and resultant research questions. 2. There is a chain of activity in the recruitment process: A. employer: job specification - did it accurately reflect the job description? - employer and employee views on this - does it now accurately reflect the job as it is B. job seeker: application - did it reflect both applicant and job - was applicant aware of their aptitude for this job? - personality characteristics C. employer: recruitment process - shortlisting - profiling of applicants - tests - interviews - reflections of employer on process - reflections of appointee on process D. employee: appointment - induction - training - development - environment E. outcome (after 2 years) - satisfactory to employer - define - satisfactory to employee – define - - perception of personal changes with job - perception of job spec changes with employer Research: What is the relationship between E and (C & D) specifically taking into consideration A and B This can be done by looking at employees at the end of year 2 And looking back at A, B, C and D Could be specifically related to graduate (first time) applicants! I have to focus on Ireland as a target market for research. Research must include good literature; surveys should be conducted for Irish employees who are in the current job for more than one year.
