The paper will be about the design and management of a network. The student will identify a scenario / situation that require a network. Students will provide a proposal that states this scenario. The paper will include the identification of a scenario / situation that requires a network and the design of the network. Paper length will be 8 to 10 pages. The design will include the following: selection of a media with justification; the selected type of network with justification; connections to be employed in the network with justification; discussion of the network basics (Chapter 7), internetworking (Chapter 8) and software and support systems (Chapter 9); discussion on network security; and discussion on concepts identified in Chapter 14 Network Design and Management. The paper will be graded based on the accurate use of English, the organization, the research conducted, and the accurate and complete reflection of material read for assignments. My scenario Central Command''s four-star general has handed down a mission to secure and control two very hostile and unstable parts of Iraq. The mission will consist of two subordinate units and one quick strike brigade. The 101st Apache Brigade, Central Command''s Alpha Company and Charlie Company 1st Cavalry 3rd Infantry will be the units forward deployed. The 101st Apache Brigade will be securing and holding command in Baghdad. Alpha company will secure and controls the town of Fallujah and Charlie Company will secure and control the town of Karbala. All there elements will need to stay in constant contact with each other as well as sending reports back to higher headquarters. For these three elements to have constant communication, they will require a high speed secure wireless network which would need to use satellite up links.
