This paper discusses and analyzes the occurrence of deviant behavior in the context of life of juvenile delinquents. The paper contends that juvenile delinquents are predominated by people who live in poor inner-city neighborhoods. The paper focuses on a juvenile delinquents in the U. S. in the first time period and describes the differences and similarities in the U.S. today. Applying the basic concepts associated in the study of the sociology of deviant behavior wherein people’s attitudes and behavior are associated with the labels that other people give them as deviants in society. It also examines the origins of criminality and briefly touches on the causes of crime and suggests that crime likely has a number of causes.
