Need a Concept paper only: The purpose of this research is to develop a "Student Success" course outline to be merged into the "Introduction to Education" to prepare students for the transitions in college and life to gain knowledge of the many tools for student success. The course will provide strategies which include concepts, skills, and learning outcomes to equip students in today''s society with effective learning and life tools. It will also provide an introduction to the nature a university education and a general orientation to the functions and resources of the College of Education. This course is designed to help students adjust to the university, to gather information regarding teaching careers, to develop a better understanding of the learning process, and to acquire essential academic survival skills. The course provides a support group for students in a critical year by explaining problems common to 1st year student experiences.
