Explain why the topic would be important to the organization, or to a group of learners, or to a particular curriculum or course . What is the basic question you would like to answer through research? Focus on a course or curriculum-related problem, and ways to improve the educational/training experience. Then explain ways in which you might apply the stages of the recesearch process in approaching your topic, in order to get the answers to your question. Would you use the qualitative or quantitative approaches to your question? Why? Finally, explain how the student assessment data could be useful in researching the topic, and how you might go about collecting the information for the topic. Discuss kinds of questionaires or other instruments or data collection methods that might be helpful, keeping in mind your decision regarding quantitative or qualitative approach...
