The write-up should include: 1. Background information (4-7pages) on the people group (history, language, culture,economy, religion, family; also include a nice map detailing where the people group live). 2. A survey of missions work (4-7pages) to this people (status of the church, how many known believers, challenges, present strategies; if possible contact a missionary presently working with this group). 3. Proposed strategy (4-7 pages). If the student were going or sending a team to this people group, what approach would he or she take (including tent-making or platform strategy for accessing the country and evangelism and church planting strategy). The project should take into consideration the articles in Winter & Hawthorne, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, 3rd edition,1999, pages 509-763. Project will be evaluated by the following criteria: Argument and Analysis: 50% (a) Have each of the three above listed parts of the project been thoroughly addressed? 25% (b) Is the proposed strategy based on an understanding of the background of the people and a history of missions among them? 25% Presentation: 50% (a) Is there a balance to the overall work (at least 4 but not more than 7 pages to each part)? Is the project at least 16 pages in length? 10% (b) Does the project make use of at least six (6) relevant and scholarly sources? 10% (c) Does the project adequately document arguments? (A 16 page paper ought to have at least 25 footnotes.) 10% (d) Does the project use Turabian format (title page, table of contents, footnotes, bibliography )? 10% (e) Is the project free of grammatical and spelling errors? 10% Good Places to Begin Research: 1.
