I am doing a research paper about animal rights. My essay is going to be 1500 words long. I must decide on my position regarding the issue. I am supposed to not only have a clear understand about my topic but also in being able to express it clearly in an organized fashion. I was thinking on talking about the researchers using animals in labs for research. I want the 1500 words to talk about this. Abstract I am supposed to have an abstract that has purpose: I should explain in this part what is the objective of my investigation. In this part narrow down the scope of your topic and describe the personal interests that motivate you to write this research paper. What I am going to write about and what im interested in. Also I need to have an audience in my abstract-define the audience, age, interest, gender, social class, cultural backgrounds. It should not be an instructor. I should say if the audiences are friendly- no wall break down or unfriendly-not listen or neutral and why? How to make them interested to my essay. I need a tentative position: It should be my thesis statement. No more than 2 sentences. Then I need a summary-in this part I should summarize all the info that I still cover in my research paper. I should have reached a point in my research in which I know what info I will cover as well as what areas I need to investigate further. What you will talk about and what you will only focus on and what you will not focus on etc. The abstract is no more than 200 words. I have written an abstract to give you information on what I was thinking. I don’t want you to write me another abstract. I just want you to edit it and write back. Outline I will have to write a detailed phrase outline listing all the information contained in my research paper and following the order in which my paint are needed. Example of the outline: I. First Idea- ex. Defending National Territories A. Idea A- ex all nations have territory 1. Supporting Evidence 2. Examples II. III. Work cited I need to have a work cited. It should be only ones that appear in my essay, direct quotes or information. Bibliography List This is a complete list of all the periodicals, journals books and other sources you read to learn more about your topic. Some of the sources in this list will and should be quoted in your research paper while others may have just served to springboard my ideas. Whether I use a source directly in my essay or not, it should be included in my list. I MAY NOT USE NON-ACADEMIC SOURCES FOR MY RESEARCH PAPER. I should have about 10 sources and 4 or 5 from essays. Also, I need to add all the work cited in there too since she wants everything to be in the bibliography. But I want the work cited to be on a separate sheet too so I can understand which one is the work cited. My research paper should be about 6 pages. No more than 1500 words please. I need to have a page of the abstract and a page of an outline. I also need to have a page of work cited and a page of a Bibliography list. So all together 10 pages
