This is my thesis statement. I will delve into the ethical application of public budgeting, particularly the graft and corruption that depletes public coffers. Additionally, I will explore the role of the government as it pertains to providing social services, subsidies, welfare, health insurance and the like. Is the government obliged to look after the physical and financial welfare of its citizens with public monies and if so to what extent, is there a limit to the government’s benevolence? My criteria. I would like the paper written from a conservative bias, adhering as much as possible to the above thesis statement. Works cited must include Thomas Sowell and Milton Friedman.
